Background

5-6 years ago it was necessary to make heating in a new house. At that time, they promised to supply gas to our village. Based on this, it was decided to supply a gas boiler and convert it to propane in cylinders (2 pairs of 2 cylinders, auto-switching between pairs). Kind of as a temporary solution until the gas is supplied. The solution is quite workable, if you do not live in the country in winter. Over the years, the main gas was never installed, and I got tired of filling the cylinders. So I decided to add an electric boiler in addition to the gas one.

Variations on the theme "how to make gas and electricity friends?"

Option 1 (the simplest): put electric heaters in every room.

Option 2: (the most correct): put an electric boiler in parallel with the gas one (with its own pump, its own safety group and check valves on both circuits)

Option 3: Install the simplest electric boiler (electric kettle :)) and use all the filling (pump, security group, etc.) from the gas boiler.

I decided to try the third option. The following “questions” arose:

1. How to make the gas boiler pump work, but not turn on the burner?
   
   
   • You can disassemble the boiler and power the pump separately. The solution looks dumb, and modifying the boiler seems dangerous
   • To somehow explain to the boiler that the pump should work, but there is no need to turn on the gas
