But when I looked back at the world, it seemed to me that we were not ready for this yet. The vast majority of the best employees I know wanted to work in the office. Remote-only companies looked odd. Perhaps they created products that required less coordination, perhaps they succeeded despite the obstacles that teleworking posed on them, or perhaps they succeeded only because they were able to recruit those rare employees.who wanted and could work remotely.
