Recently, a lot of home-made designs of belt-grinding machines, called "grinder" in the common people, have appeared on the Internet. So I decided not to deviate from the trend and make myself a similar machine in my workshop. After the manufacture of this machine, it exceeded all my expectations.
Of course, it is loudly said about exceeding expectations, but the resulting machine really showed good results, although there was nothing to compare with, except with those that homemade products were shown on YouTube.

The grinder did not come out of the budget category. I have not seen a similar quality of workmanship from what is sold in online stores. In some places it is possible to lighten the structure a little and thereby reduce the cost, but I do not see much point, since the machine was originally made for myself. What is sold is mainly molded from a sheet of reduced thickness, cut by a cnc laser, everything is designed for a low cost. But the most important thing is that they are all workable and it does not matter how much metal is in them.
