Working days of the Sith Lord

Here you are, for sure, a good person. I, too, do not consider myself bad. We also treat colleagues well. Well, or at least neutral. We help them if required. They help us.

If you are a professional or a good manager, then, for sure, sometimes act as a mentor. You educate a beginner programmer, raise a project manager, prepare a manager for independent management.

What is your goal in doing this? I think noble. Raise a new generation. Transfer experience. Prepare yourself a possible replacement. Or, as a last resort, mentoring is your responsibility, and you just do it well. Either way, you are most likely helping to grow a Good Person. You probably have a pleasant feeling when everything works out - the Padawan becomes a professional, perhaps even surpassing you.

But there are people who argue that this path is too easy. Raising a good person is not good. You need to educate someone who will destroy you. A new Sith Lord.

I honestly don't know how many people like that, but I see one every day. I will not invent a name for him, let him be the Lord of the Sith.

purpose

The Master's goal is simple - to educate a person who will not only surpass him, but destroy him. What β€œdestroys” is depends on what the Vladyka is doing in a given company at a particular time (he, like all people, sometimes moves).

If the Master is in charge of the project, then the Student must squeeze him out of the project. Or make sure that all new projects go to the Pupil, and the Vladyka gets kicked out of the company.

If the Master leads a team of programmers, then the Apprentice must remove him from his post. Not to help the Vladyka rise higher and take the vacant place, namely, sit up, squeeze out, destroy.

You yourself understand that in order to achieve such a goal, the Pupil must be more than just a professional in his field. Professionalism is kind of the bright side of the Force. With its help, you can also win, but it is not aimed at a specific enemy. Rather, it is the power of competition.
