Nizhniy Tagil in spring: city of tanks and trains

At first glance, it is clear that Nizhny Tagil is an industrial city. Today it is home to more than 340 thousand people, it is the largest city in the Sverdlovsk region after Yekaterinburg in terms of population.

But it is interesting that it is also a city of inventors - for example, the first steam locomotive in Russia. And during the war, the plant produced armor plates and assembled "thirty-fours", and three out of ten of these tanks were made in this city. And for the last thirty years, Uralvagonzavod has been producing the T-90.

An interesting fact from the history of the city: in 1926 the city did not yet have a water supply and sewerage system, but there were already nineteen elementary schools, two technical schools, two cinemas, two hospitals, eight libraries and five clubs. The first university was opened in 1939.

How does the city live now, when the snow is gone? We look at Nizhniy Tagil in the spring.

Smart city

In Nizhny Tagil, a lot of cameras are installed, which are sorted by districts and the actual objects - right on the administration's website . It remains to connect services using AI to them in order to ensure safety in the city. In any case, it's great that in case of any unpleasant situations, you can pull out the record and find out the details. In theory, the very presence of cameras in large numbers should reduce crime.
