[Analysis] What else do banks offer: installment cards vs credit cards

The other day I was faced with a proposal to open an installment card - it was not particularly relevant to me, but I did not immediately understand how such a card would differ from a credit card. According to the manager, its main advantage is that it will be possible to pay for the goods for several months and all this without interest. Why should banks offer such unfavorable conditions for them when they have credit cards?

I decided to dig deeper and figure out how it actually works, and what is important to consider for those who nevertheless decided to issue such a card.
