Relocation digest: 5 countries for moving an IT engineer or freelancer

In our blog, we regularly collect stories of Russians and residents of the CIS countries who have moved to work abroad. We collected 10 such stories in a digest in order to briefly tell the features of these countries, the pros and cons of life and the conditions for moving.

In this issue we travel from unexplored China through supposedly β€œnon-border” Poland to European classics. Read - maybe some country will like it and you will understand that you want to live and work there.

China

Ruslan, who worked at Booking.com and left behind the Great Wall of China , told us about him  to work in the new Chinese branch of this company. The IT culture in China is very developed, but almost no foreigners are hired - they have enough of their own engineers. Therefore, it is not easy to get here from abroad, but it is interesting to spy on local life.

What about the visa, residence permit and citizenship

A tourist visa allows you to stay in the country for 30 days and does not give you the right to work. Residence permit is given if you get a job, but only for the duration of the contract. The contract will end - you will have to leave the country.
