Possible uncertainties in the career of a programmer. Part 2

Good day, Khabrovites!

After already three years from the moment of writing the first part of the article Possible uncertainties in the career of a programmer, I decided that it might be interesting, and for someone, I hope, it is even useful (first of all, novice programmers) to learn the continuation of the story. What did Vanya start to do to improve his skills? How did the interview with the new company go? Everything in order.

This is no longer possible, it's time ... to go to another company

After writing that very first article, Vanya took note of the conclusions he made in the conclusion, and moved on to action. Firstly, if you work in a company and you are not satisfied with something, either speak to the problem and try to find a solution, or look for another place of work. In this case, Vanya was not satisfied with projects of different types, vague prospects for the development of himself as a programmer, and, what can we hide, there were moments when there was simply no work (by the way, in this you can find a positive moment - at this time Vanya was reading the language documentation , articles on Habré, as well as everything that could help him find a new job and successfully pass the interview). It is important to have a good understanding and awareness of your role and mission in the team and in the company. Sometimes it may seemthat no one (the company) needs you at all and fully try on the impostor syndrome, but after gaining some experience over the years, Vanya realized that this is not at all the case.

It can be offensive when you approach the leader, inform him of your decision to change the world for the better.change jobs, and he just agrees with your decision. "Ie how, in the sense? You won't even beg me to stay ?!" And so it happened with Vanya. It is interesting that they did not take in his place and did not even begin to look for anyone - this moment really touched the feelings of our developer, but not everything is as bad as it seems. It should be understood that if the employer agrees with your decision to leave, this does not mean that you are a bad employee or the company does not need it, most likely there are other reasons. In any case, it is worth maintaining a positive attitude in order to save your nerves and not look to blame. If you leave the company, you leave nicely, you may still have to return or meet with colleagues in the future, the world, as you know, is round, and your reputation is priceless.
