I got here a good stand for testing Parkinson's law - it's a sin not to use it. Moreover, the stand is myself. How many years I have lived in the world, I know about the law, but I did not believe in it to the end. I thought I could be fooled.
Parkinson's First Law: Work fills the time allotted for it.
Isn't it really that the wording gives off some kind of hopelessness? Try, plan, work on efficiency, do not get distracted, be aware - zero sense. You will sit all day anyway. This state of affairs did not suit me, and I, inspired by enthusiasm, rushed to break Parkinson's law.
I wanted to prove to myself that I can manage the structure and volume of work so that it does not take all my time. What happened, and what I ended up with, was behind the U-turn.
initial situation
I work as a department head in the 1C franchise. The list of responsibilities is something like this: I program myself, analyze almost all incoming tasks, communicate with clients, participate in presales (pre-sales), train my employees, adapt new ones, help my own to solve problems, manage several projects, do internal automation, redraw processes, teach life subcontractors, sometimes I go to meetings.
I evaluate my work by the results of my group, there are two indicators - efficiency and effectiveness. Efficiency is the result produced per person (i.e., an indicator that does not depend on the number of people in a group). Effectiveness is an overall metric that is obtained by multiplying efficiency by the number of people (i.e. efficiency scaling metric).
