Trims, tiles and terrain: how game cards are remastered

Game levels take up more than half of the screen space, which automatically increases the requirements for their expressiveness and compliance with modern graphics standards. And when we were working on the remaster of our game War Robots, the map rework was, in fact, the longest and most time-consuming art update. Redesigning the entire rendering pipeline, changing the approach to texturing in general, changing all the models on the map, re-mapping the geometry - all this should have been paid attention to.
