What do young people think when it comes to the "stomp of little feet"? About sleepless nights, dirty diapers, baby tantrums and a lost career. These fears are greatly exaggerated. I can't say anything about pregnancy and childbirth - I'm a man. This did not stop me from going on parental leave.
How did it start? Many foreign companies perceived the "Little Victorious War" 08.08.08 as a clear and unambiguous signal, canceling plans to develop business in Russia. Among them was the company in which I worked as the head of the SDO - I was laid off, having paid a six-month salary.
We immediately spent the money, having gone to Thailand - I was a sought-after specialist and easily found a job. But just after returning to Russia, we seemed to be in another country - the job market in Perm decreased tenfold. And if my pregnant friend was able to find a job (she is a chemist), then everything was deaf to me.
After thinking it over, I decided to castling - I suggested that my friend go to work immediately after giving birth, leaving the baby to me. In Russia, the state provides an opportunity for any of the parents to go on a three-year maternity leave, retaining part of the salary. It is this experience that I want to share.
The job that my friend found, in addition to a relatively high salary by the standards of the crisis Perm, had also disadvantages - it was on a rotational basis. So I had to deal with the newborn Andrei. And it turned out to be surprisingly simple.
