Science fiction fans know and appreciate Andy Weir, the author of the hit novel The Martian. Simple and artless, a robinsonade of an astronaut on Mars, unexpectedly fired, becoming a bestseller and receiving an impressive film adaptation from Ridley Scott, starring Matt Damon.
As a writer, the novel aroused ambivalent feelings in me. First of all, of course, I was delighted. When I got hold of the novel, I literally swallowed it, enjoying every page. The author was able to see and satisfy the audience's request for scientific reliability and a positive hero-researcher.

"Moonlight Rainbow" and "Rendezvous with Rama" (CHSH, the heroine is reading this particular novel in space!) Were tied together with "The Martian", all this was tied to modern space technologies - as much as possible, they were provided with memorable characters, mass subtle political satire (so thin that even thick!), and suddenly - a very reasonable, logical and fair ending. I won't spoil it, because the novel itself is one big spoiler.
The only request to all is to read to the middle, before lunar landing. You won't regret it, it's worth it. The author is in the piggy bank. (c) Andrew
