Collected a small selection of hackathons, pitch sessions and other events in May. Almost all of them take place online, registrations are open. I will be happy if for someone this collection turns out to be an incentive and a door to the world of cool investments :) If the heading comes up, I will publish such collections again.
1. Pitch session of FinTech startups DIGITAL SUPERHERO, May 27 (online)
Startups in three areas are invited: Sustainable Development (ESG), Research Tools and RiskTech. Ak Bars Bank experts will select up to 20 projects that will present their solutions at a pitch session. The best projects will be offered reimbursement of expenses up to 500,000 rubles for a pilot implementation.

2. Applied AI Challenge Hackathon: FinTech Track, May 17-23 (online)
This is an online machine learning and data analysis competition organized by Tochka Bank in cooperation with ITMO University. The hackathon will be held in singles, 7 days will be given to solve the problem. The best participants will be able to enroll in ITMO's Master's program in the Financial Technologies of Big Data program without entrance exams and go on a paid internship at Tochka Bank or a research center.
3. EdTech Hackathon, May 21-23 (online)
The Opportunities Accelerator at the Moscow State University, together with the Program Product Group of Companies, is conducting the Program Boost EdTech hackathon with a prize fund of 500,000 rubles. Startups at the hackathon will have a chance to receive investments of up to 5,000,000 rubles.

4. Hackathon Applied AI Challenge: Oil and Gas Industry Case, May 14-16 (online)
The Scientific and Technical Center of Gazpromneft and NIS NAFTAGAS NTC together with ITMO University will hold an online competition in machine learning and data analysis.

7. EMERGENCY DATAHACK, 28-30 ()
The hackathon was organized with the support of INID and EMERCOM of Russia, the prize fund is 900,000 rubles. Analysts, data scientists, machine learning specialists, geographers, and hydrologists are invited to participate.
