On Habré , articles glorifying the personal immortality of an individual are found with enviable regularity : they say death is a program error, a faulty gene, sometimes even a disease that has only to be defeated and people will live forever (and, obviously, happily)! Despite the fact that I would like to extend my own existence, if possible, I still try to speculate on the topic of why humanity, perhaps, should not follow this path. I will not give the boring arguments about overpopulation and lack of resources (in a naive sense), but I will give a couple of considerations that seem interesting to me.
The first thing I would like to focus on is the priority of the survival of the population over the survival of the individual. Those. Let's take it for granted: humanity is more important than man . Or, to paraphrase a little: first of all, the survival of humanity as a whole is important, and secondly, of each individual person. Those. if the first does not contradict the second, one does not interfere with the other. So let's ask the question: does it interfere?
