Killer 1C to 1C

The topic of "killer 1C" is very popular among 1C programmers, in particular, because it is very convenient to develop small pocket applications with a database on 1C, but the license starts  at 13,000 rubles , so no one will buy such small applications:

Therefore, there is a request for the same application development tool as 1C, but cheaper. Free, inexpensive, or for a percentage of software sales.

Until now, such a killer has not been found, unfortunately.

But what is interesting is that it can be written in 1C itself. The fact is that 1C produces many basic solutions that are almost a full-fledged platform, but for one user and at the same time they are very cheap, for example, 1C: Money can be bought for 600 rubles:

The "killing solution" may consist in the fact that an SQL database is being deployed, clients with which they work in basic, cheap, versions of 1C.

In this case, of course, you will have to implement the logic for displaying data from the database in forms and lists, but such technologies are already familiar to 1C programmers.

And besides this, all the usual tools are available, which are the advantage of 1C - tables of values in memory, controlled forms collected by runtime, the ability to program in 1C language.

So, as you can see at least in this example, the basic solution of 1C made it possible to get rid of the need to β€œshoot sparrows from a 13,000-ruble cannon”!

Well, to summarize, I will say that in my opinion, with its proprietary policy, 1C limits the possibilities of distributing its platform. At one time, the popularization of 1C 7.7 was greatly helped by the fact that it easily broke with patches like "Sobol". And now the time for proprietary development platforms is running out ...

Ultimately, sooner or later, the 1C engine will be rewritten by competitors and it will remain only in the 1C: Accounting niche. And it will bitterly regret the missed opportunities.
