Editing video on a cloud server in AWS

My work computer is a Macbook Air 2020 (Intel), and it is enough for writing code and other tasks. However, when I needed to edit a short video, it turned out that the power of my laptop was sorely lacking, and I began to look for options.

I do not do professional video editing, and for the first time I stumbled into this topic while trying to make such a small demo video for Teamplify (Matt, our English teacher, helped with the voice acting):

PS After posting this article @ Stas911 came up with the idea to try NICE DCV instead of Remote Desktop to connect to the server (for EC2 - free) and I tried it. It works :) Run the server based on NICE DCV AMI (version for g4), do not forget to add the role to the instance so that it stops swearing at the license, and install EC2Launch v2 so that the instance sees its own meta-date.





You will also need EC2Launch to connect the Instance store as a disk in Windows. To do this, click the "Initialize" checkbox in the Volumes section with the mouse and reboot the server:
