Webinar from Yandex. Workshop "Finite state machines in real life": theory, coding and Q&A in one evening

State machine theory is at the heart of many of the algorithms that developers often use. The solution to many problems has long been invented and often with the use of state machines.

On May 8 at 15.00 (Moscow time) Yandex.Practicum is holding an open webinar "Finite state machines in real life" , where the tutor of the Middle Front- End Developer course Zakhar Ovcharov will talk about the use of automatic machines, and the course graduate Anton Subbotin will try to understand why they are needed and how to apply them.

The webinar will be useful for developers who want to better understand fundamental algorithms, those who perceive regular expressions as magic, and form validation as a terrible problem, as well as novice programmers who want to build a solid foundation of future knowledge for themselves.

In the webinar program

  1. Let's talk about abstract machines that don't exist in reality. You will see how algorithms for solving a wide range of problems are built on their basis.
  2. Let's take a look at how finite state machines work and where they are used.
  3. Let's build a small state machine for validating and accepting user input strings.
  4. Let us discuss the use, complexity, and limitations of finite state machines for solving applied everyday problems.

Leading

Zakhar Ovcharov is a front-end team-lead at Respona and Ezil projects, a mentor on the Middle Front-End Developer course.

Anton Subbotin is a graduate of the Middle Frontend Developer course. After the course, he changed his place of work and now works in the development team of the Workshop.

The webinar will take place on May 8 at 15.00 (Moscow time). Details and registration.
