In the IT community, the word "outsourcing" is often perceived as offensive. Leaders of companies and teams that are engaged in custom software or electronics development, and the developers themselves prefer not to call themselves outsourcers. Even from my previous articles on engineering teams and their journey, it seemed like I was against this business model. So let's figure out why outsourcing has become an important school for us - engineers from Belarus, Ukraine and Russia, and why the leaders of the IT market no longer want to call themselves that word.
I will immediately note my attitude to the term "outsourcing": I like this business model, I have been building a company in the field of custom development of electronics and embedded software for many years, and now I am transforming the business in this area.
