3CX Bridge: how to link multiple 3CX IP PBXs into a single system

In our articles, we have already talked about the advantages of building a distributed telephone network based on the 3CX communication platform.

In the new material, we will discuss such a tool for creating a unified communication system for a company, such as 3CX Bridge (bridging).

Note: the bridging function (interstation trunks) is only available in the paid Professional and Enterprise editions.

3CX Bridge allows you to interconnect several independent 3CX IP-PBXs, and also provides the following functionality:

  • communication between IP-PBX both via the SIP protocol and using the 3CX Tunnel (port 5090);
  • dialing prefix between IP-PBX;
  • publication of the status of selected employees (ready, in conversation, break);
  • fast dialing of numbers from the 3CX notebook.

The 3CX IP PBX numbering plan can be either non-overlapping or overlapping. In the latter case, you must separately specify additional prefixes in the outgoing dialing rules.

The screenshot shows a diagram of combining three 3CX IP-PBXs (according to the principle "each with each"). This scheme was implemented in a real project in Russia
