Obtaining drinking water for a city apartment: the experience of using pitcher filters

In this short review, I want to share my experience in choosing a water treatment system for a city apartment. It's no secret that the quality of tap water leaves much to be desired, although tap water meets sanitary standards. This means that it is not toxic or hazardous to health, that is, the concentration of harmful substances does not exceed the limits established by the standard.

From the foregoing, it follows that the volume of the jug filter is better to choose based on the required amount of water and it is better to have a smaller volume of fresh filtered water than to keep long-filtered water in stock. It is necessary to change the cartridge with the filter in time, and the short service life of the filters leads to additional financial costs. Therefore, I decided to abandon the constant use of a pitcher filter and install a water purification system using reverse osmosis in the apartment.
