Stereo to mono downmix. ZK-502T, ZK-100, TPA3116, NE5532, AC20B. Stereo to mono refinement. Scheme, device, hack

Why is this even necessary ?! A reasonable question. Sometimes it is necessary. Always when you need to connect one sound source, for example a subwoofer. Or, as in my case, the task was to sound an open-air dance event. There was a guitar combo, into which I plugged the board of the D class ZK-502T amplifier on the TPA3116 and converted it to power from a lithium battery. And everything was fine, only he could reproduce only one channel, since there is only one speaker. In fact, there are more than one questions and solutions. But we will skip them and go straight to the technique.

The board has a TPA3116 class D amplifier, a microprocessor with a DAC, ADC, MUX, USB and blutooth, high and low frequency control. This is not high-end at all, it has drawbacks, but for our purposes it is what we need.

Operators live on a bipolar power supply, I did on a unipolar one. This is possible with the so-called. virtual ground and blocking capacities to limit the DC component. Details in the video.

My goal was to understand how op amps work and make a working circuit. And I did it. At the same time, I figured out the circuit of the above amplifier. And in general I learned a lot of new things.

Hope someone will find it helpful!
