ML interview not in Yandex: we are doing fine

sourcing_channels

Probably like most of Habr, I looked through this article yesterday - "Interview in Yandex: theater of the absurd: /". She's interesting and to be honest, I felt the same "notes" when I went to Yandex for an interview for the role of ... a manager several years ago. I was also offered to buy their shares with my own money instead of options ... hmm. In principle, it is pretty obvious what "qualities" they test in this way.

But not the point. One should always try to reduce everything to creation, not destruction. The constructive formulation of the question is, is it possible to do it normally in a particular industry, for example, in machine learning? Or are job interviews broken as a class?

Some time ago I wrote such an article on my personal blog, but hesitated to post it beyond my personal blog. And probably in vain, tk. many of my acquaintances highly appreciated it. In short, I personally passed about 150 candidates through myself and in the end we were satisfied with the result and the people we found are still successfully coping with their tasks, everything is warm and lamp-like.

Here we must be aware that this method is not universal. If you were interested, then read the full blog post, there are many more informal facts and funny details. For the rest, I just tried to give the most dry squeeze of my experience gained in this process in the most concise form as a result of a huge amount of invested effort.
