Istanbul is a great city to ride out the winter while working remotely. The cost of tickets and accommodation is roughly comparable to Sochi, and everything else is better and cheaper.
Food, culture, service, infrastructure, civilization are incomparably cooler and more interesting. With basic English and Russian, all doors open here, and the assortment of shopping centers will discourage the desire to buy some clothes in Russia.
