Announcement. Why do we need communities to support women in IT careers

Tomorrow, at 20:00, Dasha Gubanova, the founder of the Girls Do IT community, will speak on our social networks .

Daria has been developing digital products and launching international projects in EdTech startups for more than 4 years (StudyFree, ex-Qmarketing Academy, ex-Skyeng).

In addition, Dasha has a mission: to inspire girls for STEM careers through her community. The team set a task to increase the number of girls in the industry and help remove the internal barrier to building a career in IT & digital.

In April 2020, Dasha began to look for like-minded people, and at the moment they already have a team of 4 organizers and more than 700+ participants in their community. During the year there were partnerships with McKinsey Russia, Russian Tech Week, Raiffeisenbank, Geekbrains.

Dasha herself says that she is most inspired by messages from community members that they started learning programming or took courses, decided to change their careers, found their first job.
