Who is the ideal client through the eyes of a developer?

Today is March 19th. If you look at the calendar, you can find not only the nineteenth day of spring, but also International Customer Day. In this regard, we honestly share how we see the ideal Customer.

This essay will cover the following topics:

How to find the “right” Customer.

Why “cool” solutions cannot always be assessed by the Customer.

What should you rely on when choosing a contractor if you have only a little experience in software development with the help of third parties.

A small introduction.

So, first, to note 2 fundamental points:

The position of the company in relation to its customers. In this case, we do not want to focus on ourselves, so we will briefly designate. Having existed for 19 years in the IT market, we have understood one very truth that the Customer and the Contractor should receive equal value from interaction, otherwise such a business relationship will not last long. It would seem that the thought is on the surface, but only sometimes it is forgotten.

Who is the ideal customer? He quickly makes a decision, signs a contract without any problems, transmits a clear technical specification, makes payments on time, silently signs acceptance certificates, takes the highest technical support that he does not really need, annually signs acts for this support and happily agrees when we raise cost. Of all the actions described above, our ideal Customer performs only one. All others show that the interaction is not entirely successful.

So who is the ideal customer?

We were able to highlight 4 points, here they are:

Interest

Ability to choose

Understanding the importance of trust

Process control
