Before reading
This is my first post, I hope for adequate criticism in the comments.
I am far from being an expert in space, most of the information is taken from google / datasheets / specifications, occasionally - from conversations with people working in companies that create cubesats.
One morning
The laptop illuminated the corner of the small room with blinding white light, and the backlight on the mouse glowed red. Two large numbers burned on the desktop: 5:59. Well, as always. Having opened Habr and YouTube, I saw the news about the creation of the lighthouse satellite, climbed to read and disappeared.
After rereading, probably, half of the posts about cubesats, I went to Google. And he began to look for sites not with information, but with the ability to buy parts to create a satellite (it was easier to understand if it was worth it). For example, isispace.nl or sputnix.ru A lot of "surprised" at the prices on the market, I decided to try to design and manufacture the satellite myself.
Plan
Find technical documentation about the satellite (specification for the case, datasheet for the onboard computer, etc.)
Develop a bookmaker in several versions.
Design a communication system (UHF band, if possible - UHF + S bands)
Make a payload board with sensors (two Geiger-Muller counters, two or four temperature sensors (internal and external), accelerometer, magnetometer, gyroscope)
Calculate the consumption of all components and design a power system for at least a span on the night side.
Technical documentation (body)
I took the Cubsat specification from cubesat.org ( .pdf file of the specification for revision 13 )
After reading, the following conditions appeared:
Satellite dimensions 100x100x113.5 mm
The width of the guides must be at least 8.5 mm
The edges of the guides must be rounded with a radius of at least 1 mm
Cubsat weight no more than 1.33 kg
