When a person passes an interview or completes a test task, the company gives him feedback: "you are handsome, here's an offer / sorry, you are not suitable for us." In case of refusal, they usually write something like this: "Sorry, you did not fit." But what exactly was bad and what skills need to be pumped is not clear!
I want to give you a couple of life hacks on how you can get a little more feedback:
Looks like "hello cap"? But I have been conducting interviews for about three years, and have seen the use of these life hacks at most 5 times. So let me explain how these simple tips work. And at the same time we will discuss the nuances of their application.
Life hack 1. Just ask!
Yes, it's that simple! Ask for more detailed feedback. They don't beat for demand!
If you are sitting in an interview and solving a test "here and now", then after the end of the problem ask:
- What else have I missed? What have you not thought about? How good or bad is it? What can you read / Google?
If you are confused during the interview and did not ask for feedback, ask for it later. Write a letter like this:
- Hello, I am such and such, I was interviewed at that time. Please tell us about the results of the meeting.
If you have completed a test task and you received a dry refusal, ask for a little more feedback:
