NRU HSE - St. Petersburg and JetBrains to hold a practical programming school for high school students

St. Petersburg HSE and JetBrains invite students in grades 10 and 11 to a school for practical programming and data analysis. Among the lecturers are the leading teachers of St. Petersburg and specialists from IT companies: Sergey Kopeliovich, Egor Suvorov, Ivan Yamshchikov, Mikhail Dvorkin, Alexey Shpilman and others.

The school will be held in two stages: the first stage will take place from 22 to 28 March in an online format. The second stage will be in-person, the participants will meet in St. Petersburg from 5 to 10 May. Participation in the school is free.

Alexander Omelchenko, Dean of the Faculty of the St. Petersburg School of Physics, Mathematics and Computer Science:

Our school is the first step towards independent work in an IT company. We will not deal with solving Olympiad problems or preparing for the exam. Our goal is to show how to work in a team, to try our hand at a research project in the field of machine learning, programming languages, in real industrial development. Participants will be able to implement their first project and understand whether they are ready to engage in machine learning or software engineering.

First stage: from 22 to 28 March, remotely
