How I reordered the pages in Figma

Our main workspace needs to be as clean and tidy as any other area of our life. Everyone understands these words in their own way, so in this article I will share my experience, which I practice in all my projects.

Problem

The main problem is that the system of pages that we are trying to build necessarily breaks down on reality. This is just a matter of the near future. We often find ourselves in situations where there is no way to think about it, or we just don’t want to. As a result, over and over again we make exceptions and the porridge is brewed again.

I went through this cycle more than once until I found a system that I am comfortable using in any situation and in a variety of projects.

It is flexible, intuitive and convenient in terms of file orientation. And most importantly, it is obvious to those who enter the file for the first time!

The system is built on the division of all pages into basic types. Each type has its own emoji for clear visual separation:

  1. Production - final layouts ready for development;

  2. — , ;

  3. — ;

  4. — ;

- . : «• • •» «/ / /».

  2. «Keyboard»;

  3. Go to the "Shortcuts" tab;

  4. Select the section "App Shortcuts" in the list on the left;

  5. Click on the plus sign and in the window that appears, fill in the fields, as in the screenshot (choose the key combination at your discretion);

Now, when I need to find something, including a page, I just open the search and write there the approximate name of what I am looking for.

We launched our own application that reminds you of your ideas and important thoughts. It's called Noter .

On my Telegram channel, I talk about the development process and show the layouts before they go into development: @raselgit
