He listens to the advice of the crew , which he knows very well, is able to solve any difficult issue regarding the operation and safety of the vessel. Reports to the ship owner not only on the technical condition of the ship, but also on the work of its various divisions, rigging systems, etc. Keeps track of the time, the well-coordinated work of the crew and, most importantly, arrives at the port on time .
