Gerund, what are you?

As an English teacher, I noticed that many people have particular difficulties with gerund. And today we will sort it out on the shelves.

Let's start with a fairy tale. Once upon a time there was a verb ( swim, jump, run ... ), I decided to change gender, that is, to become a noun. And turned into a gerund. And he did not remain a verb, and did not become a noun. It turned out to be something incomprehensible, something in between, let's say: swimming, jumping, reading.

We understand it like this

This is perhaps all there is to know about a gerund. Now is the time to put knowledge into practice. Here are some helpful exercises

Do 1 exercise per day, looking at this article (you don't need to cram anything) and you will be happy.

PS For fans who want to speak like Her Majesty, you can go through these exercises. But this time, do not peep anywhere. How do you like this challenge?

PPS Just in case, I'll leave a couple of links on Facebook and Instagram if you want to elaborate on this topic in more detail.
