I am an individual entrepreneur on the simplified tax system in the service sector, I work as one person. Some contractors are asked to send them the originals of closing documents (acts).
I use e-mail. For a year I send, God forbid, 20 letters of A5 format. Each costs an average of about 30 rubles. I send letters as usual, not registered. If it doesn't work, I'll send it again, but this has not happened yet. My expenses for postal document circulation, thus, amount to 20 * 30 = 600 rubles per year.
But now it is fashionable to use EDF and some counterparties offer to exchange documents signed with an electronic signature. Well, I don't mind saving nature and paper, I started studying the issue.
Because I am a programmer, I understand something in cryptography. The essence of an electronic digital signature (EDS) is that you have a private and public key. Any document can be signed with a private key and a signature can be sent to the client, which will contain the signature signature itself and the public key, which can be used to determine that the document is indeed signed with this key. Well, check the validity of the key in the certification centers, which lead to the Ministry of Communications of the Russian Federation along the chain of certificates.
Essentially the same as printing. I bought a seal and you can put it on documents.
It is now accepted that the signature of a file is sent along with it with the same name and extension as the file and also with the extension "sig". Accordingly, the recipient can check such a set of file + signature and, if anything, present it to the court or state authorities, as confirmation of the original document.
But electronic document management (EDM) is a shell over an EDS. Allows you to simplify the transfer of files with signatures, to store the history of correspondence. Essentially the same as a hosted mailbox, only with a crypto provider.
Armed with this knowledge, I went to "ask the price" for EDF. Imagine my surprise when I learned that EDF costs from 2000 rubles, and the minimum package includes 200 packages for sending, which is clearly redundant for me. I have an order of magnitude less - 20. Moreover, all providers. Conventional EDI, not integrated with 1C.

In general, it's high time to embed the sig signature in the metadata tags of a PDF file. In this case, only the body of the PDF file will be used for the signature hash, without metadata. Well, or all metadata, except for signature metadata. Then you can exchange already signed documents directly to PDF.
This will be the EDS of a healthy person, not a smoker, as it happens now.
