Today, on behalf of the Rust Core team, I am pleased to announce the Rust Foundation, a new, independent, non-profit organization that runs the Rust programming language and ecosystem that is solely dedicated to supporting all maintainers - those who create and manage projects. The first meeting of the Rust Foundation will take place tomorrow, February 9th, at 16:00 PT (22:00 UTC + 3). The board of directors consists of 5 directors from the parent companies: AWS, Huawei, Google, Microsoft and Mozilla, and 5 directors from project management. Two of them are representatives of the Core Team, three are from different parts of the project: Reliability, Quality and Collaboration.
