Hello. At the end of last year, an article was published on Habré about how to become old and useless in the IT industry at the age of 30. The material received a lot of responses, but showed only one side of the coin. I want to share my story of how, after 30 years, I was able to start a career.
Not in IT
In 1992 I graduate from the Tupolev Kazan Aviation Institute. In the hands of a diploma in the specialty "Applied Mathematics" and a complete lack of concept where to work. In those days, we were still studying on the famous EC-1033 and EC-1045 with punched cards, so I had a direct road to some factory in the automation department. But the 90s of the last century passed under the sign of a general collapse of production.
I had to forget about my career as a programmer and do whatever, just to survive. With higher education, I managed to work in a stall, open my own company and much more. But the thought of returning to IT did not leave me. In vain, or what, I received higher education?
