They say an information war is being waged against us. The proposed article partly contains the answer why we are failing in it.
Day yesterday
Two thousand years ago the fishermen Andrew and Peter threw their nets and followed Christ in order to "catch men" instead of fish. i And for two thousand years they have succeeded unparalleled in this.
But having chosen only twelve disciples for himself, the Lord made this occupation the lot of the elect. People, however, did not bother to delve into the depths of divine thought, did not think why the Lord decided to catch people when he could have everything he wanted, and as a result, during all this time, they did not advance in catching their own kind, preferring to acquire riches and fame - more familiar to them, pleasant and understandable values. ii
The opposite was more familiar and, if successful, tangible for them: to conquer, ruin, take away, capture, enslave. It would be an exaggeration to say that a person did everything exclusively by force. Oaths, vows, oaths, restriction of freedoms and, as it is now fashionable to say, various loyalty programs - many tricks have been invented to bind their own kind and make them serve "faithfully". But these peaceful methods were often based on coercion, oaths and oaths were demanded against the will of those caught, and therefore were also imperfect, unreliable and often futile. It was difficult to expect something else, when the principle of taking , not giving, lay at the heart of all undertakings . Not at all what the Savior meant.
As a result: not a single enterprise in the entire history has managed to catch so many people as supporters, not one of them has existed for as long. And there is hardly a state that has remained for two thousand years within the same borders or with the same structure.
Centuries passed like this, and nothing changed. Two thousand years later, a man, having not succeeded in this craft without a tool, "weaved" new webs for himself in order to try his luck again. Such is the irony and metaphor of history. Moreover, over two thousand years, much has changed in the minds of people. iii

xi A graphic historical example of the fact - which for some reason is not very actively researched - that while there are people, it makes sense to think about territories and the state. If there are no people, then everything else loses its meaning. Therefore, the state that puts its territories above its people is in a deliberately losing position.
