How long have you been recording TV programs? It seems that now only professionals are engaged in this, and after all, once recording from TV was a massive phenomenon. Imagine: there is no Internet and YouTube, no torrents and streaming services, no IPTV with a built-in "time machine". Television is the main means of delivering moving pictures to the population, and this population wants to preserve some of them as a keepsake. A couple of years ago I was sortingtheir old videotapes: in addition to the most valuable video recordings, there were many video artifacts from the nineties. "Back to the Future", all three films on one cassette, were recorded somehow during the New Year holidays from a TV set in LP mode. Music videos, performances by relatives on city TV, and the like. More often than not, all this was recorded right during the viewing process: this was the best way. You hold the remote control in your hands, carefully cut out all the commercial breaks. And then you revise it more than once. And you constantly overwrite one program on top of another: new cassettes are not so cheap.
