This article is adapted for Java developers. Peter's talk aggregates his perspective and experience into resume writing. Gatekeepers
Your resume will be read by 3 types of people:
HR or recruiter
The first person to see your resume, and most likely not a techie. He only has one question: Should I show this person's resume to a technician?
How does he define it? To do this, he needs to understand if this candidate has the necessary skills. But HR is not a programmer, so your conversation might end like this:
Sorry, but you are not suitable for us. We need someone with JavaScript experience, and I see that you have only programmed in Angular JS and jQuery.
Also, the HR or recruiter has some vague ideas about the vacancy that he received as a result of a conversation with the hiring manager.
What could make an HR or recruiter send your resume to the trash can?
