There are no companies in which there would be no work with documents. And this is a painstaking, routine, but very important process. People want to get paid on time, and suppliers and contractors want to get paid on time for their services. An accountant in a company regularly has to carry out a series of repetitive actions and at the same time monitor their correctness. Here is the simplest example of a chain of such operations: to send an invoice to a customer, a sales manager sends a request to an accountant. Then the accountant creates an account in the accounting system, forms a printed form and sends it to the manager. If electronic documents are exchanged with the buyer, then the accountant creates and sends him an invoice in the EDI system.

The process of processing incoming documents consists of several parts: scanning, recognition, classification, data extraction. Usually, the whole process takes place using technologies from one vendor, which limits the company in its choice of technologies. At the same time, it is not enough to extract data from the document, it is necessary to somehow transfer it to the main business applications (SAP, 1C, etc.), this is not always possible due to the complexities of integration with corporate business applications.
