I would like to tell you about Yandex.Metrica and how we began to use it to organize video surveillance at elections: where standard reports, groupings, segmentation came in handy, and what opportunities this service offers customization.
I came to Rostelecom in 2017. At that time, a video surveillance portal was functioning, which was being developed for the 2012 presidential elections. Yes, the portal was constantly being improved, but by the summer of 2017 we finally understood that it was time to change it, because he could no longer withstand the planned load in the presidential elections.
As a result, we came up with the concept of two portals : one open, with live HLS broadcasting and which will withstand over a million one-time visits. The second is a closed, service portal with a large amount of statistics, downloads, viewing the archive for customers: representatives of the CEC, the election commission of the constituent entities of the Russian Federation and other interested parties.
