There was a task - to read data via RS-422/485 from a device 30-50 meters away. The device heats up very much during operation (according to calculations ~ 150 degrees). Also, there is very unpredictable strong electromagnetic interference at the place of operation of the device, so leaving the signal lines without twisting was dangerous with data loss.
The temperature is not surprising - think a little heat. But, like the temperature - it is even not industrial electronics, it - space, aviation, oil. Okay, electronics, it's clear with it - production becomes too complicated -> the price rises -> fewer orders -> costs rise. But shouldn't there be such problems with the cable? It's just copper in a certain sheath / insulation, right? Moreover, dark insulation - under the sun without wind - should be very hot. I was full of confidence that the very first page of the search engine would give me the answer. It turned out not.
One of the discoveries for me was that “ Fire resistant cables do not work at high temperatures. "
Most of these twisted-pair / interface cables are just flame retardant and no harmful / asphyxiating substances. Some cables were guaranteed to work for only a few hours on an open fire.
At the same time, the maximum operating temperature did not exceed 90 degrees. Here are a couple of examples:
TECHNOKSBSng (A) -FRHF
KSB GSng (A) -FRHF
The vast majority of cables / wires that perform well at these temperatures are not supplied twisted, have no impedance control, and are not suitable for the selected interface. These cables are designed for power supply, control measurements. I will give a couple of examples, maybe they will help you:

ENERGOTHERM® from NPF "KB-ENERGO-PROJECT"
