Linux Mint 20.1 distribution presented

A couple of days ago, the Linux Mint developers posted a new Linux Mint 20.1 release, which is a continuation of the Ubuntu 20.04 LTS branch. Feature of new items - full compatibility with Ubuntu, but a different approach to the organization of the user interface and the selection of default applications.



In terms of interface, users get a classic desktop different from GNOME 3. In terms of skins, builds are available for MATE 1.24 (1.9 GB), Cinnamon 4.8 (1.9 GB), and Xfce 4.14 (1.8 GB). Good news for Linux Mint 20 users: it will receive updates until 2025.
