I always read with interest the labor market reviews that are published on Habré. But, after them, I always had a feeling of slight hunger: I lacked a more detailed analysis for my market segment and region. And with regularity it was not very good. So a couple of years ago, I had the idea to make something like a dashboard on the labor market of QA specialists in Moscow based on HH.ru data. The service was chosen due to its full-fledged public API and its popularity. The results seemed interesting enough to me to bring them here.

I'll start with what is not in this report. I will not take away bread from the authors from "Habr Career" - their polls on salariesit is difficult to surpass in the degree of reliability - that's why there are no figures on wages in my reports. There is also no precision in absolute numbers. The reason is that the attribution of vacancies on HH.ru is done in a peculiar way and one vacancy can be published several times under different IDs. On the other hand, one ad can correspond to several open positions in the company. Therefore, absolute numbers should be viewed with caution. But these data still allow for comparative analysis. To collect vacancies, the open part of the HH.ru API was used, which gives job descriptions in JSON format. Some of the charts are built on the basis of parameters passed in JSON format, some are based on the analysis of textual job descriptions. The observation was carried out from March 2019 to December 2020. in the "Testing" section in Moscow. The request was narrowed down to testing specialists, vacancies from this section with a different specialization were dropped.

I will not take up space for a detailed description of charts with instruments: everyone will be interested in their own section. It is better to refer to the full version of the report for details . Moreover, it is recalculated every day, based on fresh vacancies. If there is no room on the charts for your favorite language, test framework or other testing tool, write. I am ready to expand the list of monitored instruments, as well as make other improvements.
