How not to write about yourself in your resume

Hello! My name is Tanya and I am an IT recruiter. I have gathered a few excerpts from real developer resumes that show how not to write about yourself. And I decided to share them with you. At the end of each example, advice is given on how best to introduce yourself. The resumes were taken from hh.ru. All names and links are classified. So let's go!

1. Too romantic description

In principle, a good story for someone looking for a job, such as a nanny, librarian or primary school teacher. But for an IT specialist, such a description is worthless. It is important to indicate in the resume those competencies that are necessary for a specific vacancy. You will not be at work doing everything you wrote about (outside of working hours - please, but as a specialist this does not define you at all).

Therefore, advice number 1: minimum personal, maximum professional!

2. Too short description

Already better, but why so few? Of course, brevity is the sister of talent, but not so much! Too general description of your competencies, which, moreover, are not confirmed by anything, which in turn denies the above - after all, you do not find non-trivial solutions to problems, and your resume is proof of this.

Council number 2: briefly, but succinctly and preferably with facts.

Agree, this is not quite what you need for a high-quality resume? From the above descriptions, it is difficult to understand what kind of specialist is in front of you, what he can, what he wants, what you can offer him. But, fortunately, all is not lost and there is still a resume with a good description of yourself. See example below. I am not saying that this is the ideal and this is the best thing that can be written. But with this person, at least, recruiters will want to talk.

Here's a selection. If you have something like this in your resume, correct it quickly so as not to miss new opportunities for yourself.

Thank you all and bye!
