The release of a new major version of the language is always an opportunity to both look back and evaluate the path already traveled, and try to look far ahead and predict what awaits us in the future, so it’s not surprising that there have been a lot of discussions on this topic in the community lately .
After many discussions on this issue, I would like to share with you the conclusions that I have come to: under the cut you will find out what difficulties PHP will face in the coming years.
The language itself has come a long way from the dubious quality of a set of scripts to a modern, full-fledged and productive language that can really solve a lot of problems facing businesses of different sizes and the main difficulty for the language, in my opinion, is that it tries to sit on several chairs at once.
