Data analysis for sales and production

Introduction

Manufacturers and wholesale companies constantly need to answer the questions

"What to produce?", "How much?" and "What prices should I set?"

Over the past few years, the main tool for finding an answer has been the use of Excel spreadsheets for demand and production planning. But the increase in the amount

of position data and the increase in the rate of change make it difficult, and, moreover, a huge amount of information remains left out. Algorithms for data analysis, which are beginning to play an increasingly important role, are becoming a natural solution.

The article describes how data analysis can help in the above issues, highlights the main problems of its implementation and use.

Only the very top is affected. Each section is, in fact, worthy of a separate article. And if such material is useful, we will consider in more detail.

We are currently testing a prototype solution with the team to optimize pricing management and forecast demand for company data to prove value. A little later we will share what figures we managed to achieve.
