What is important to the user in such a system? Of course, the number of subscribers, since there is no way to establish interaction between the bases, and even not the largest office can consist of more than a dozen employees. Even if this is not the case at the moment, it is always worth remembering the scalability. Our base station allows you to connect up to 20 subscribersthat in the segment of single-cellular base stations the number is unprecedented! Yes, and in this barrel of honey there is a small fly in the ointment, the base station supports only 5 simultaneous calls, however, call center employees and other employees equal to them in terms of telephone load are usually not equipped with radio tubes, which means the number of simultaneous calls is a quarter of the maximum number the tubing to be connected will be more than enough.
As you probably remember, the maximum distance supported by the base station in DECT is up to 50 m indoors and up to 300 m in line of sight, and our device is no exception. However, the range of the base can be increased by using a universal repeater for our DECT systems, Snom M5... The range of the repeater itself is similar to the radius of the base, however, since it is a repeater, it must be placed in the coverage area of the base station, which in total gives an increase in coverage in one direction by one and a half times. Repeater to the base station can connect three pieces .
Equipment
The M325 kit consists of a Snom M300 base station and a Snom M25 handset. Note that this base station is also compatible with other Snom M65 / 70/80/85/90 handsets . The base station M300 , as in all IP-DECT systems, takes over the interaction with the server via the SIP protocol, as well as the broadcast of the DECT signal. The M25 handset acts exclusively as a subscriber DECT device and has no information about the fact that the base works using the SIP protocol. The base and handset naturally come with power supplies, handset batteries, an Ethernet cable, and a quick start guide.
Appearance and operation
Let's take a closer look at the devices and start with the tube. Snom M25 is tiny, has a small but bright color display and quite interesting design. On the front part, the navigation keys draw attention to themselves, they are made in a general form for Snom IP phones. The dialer consists of large rubberized keys with a pleasant feedback. Despite the size of the tube body, the keys are located far enough so that when you press one of the keys, do not touch the others.
The handset fits nicely in your hand. The plastic is not easily soiled and does not leave traces on itself, which is important for a device that is constantly in the hands of an employee. The LED indicator is very interesting, it is located in the upper left part of the phone, on the side edge. In addition to an interesting appearance and good visibility from most of the possible tube positions, it provides additional retention of the tube in the hand.
There is a speaker on the back of the device, stylized as part of the back cover pattern. The speaker provides loud and clear speech reproduction. In general, the M25 copes very well with sound transmission, providing the user with a comfortable conversation while being mobile.
The base station looks simple and modest in appearance. This is understandable, such devices are usually placed not so much by their beautiful arrangement as by the coverage area, but alien, in the office the M300 will definitely not look. Moreover, this device will look quite harmoniously at home, next to a home router or separately from it.
Also, at home, we will look very appropriate and the tube, which is not overloaded with additional buttons, although it provides the user with all the necessary functionality.
