We call it the coronavirus :
BUT for the bat
it is not a threat to her life. He lives with her. Performs part of the functions. He and her body are in balance. Otherwise, either the immune system would have killed him or the virus would have killed the bat.
The human body initially perceives COVID-19 as a virus, i.e. threat and begins to fight him.

ps when I already wrote the main text, I wondered again why the coronavirus is so interested in human lungs? no kidneys, no heart, no eyes, no ears, or anything else?
And in my opinion, I found the answer, it is simple, the coronavirus being in its natural natural reservoir - the bat helped it solve some function related to respiration.
Perhaps he wants to rebuild the lungs of a person like a bat?
