Podcasts are the easiest way to improve a programmer's horizons

Hello everyone, my name is Anton Okolelov, you may know me from the podcast " Zinc Prod "

The programming world is constantly changing. New approaches, languages, databases, tools, hardware and software appear. Therefore, at least in the interviews that I conduct, I attach great importance to whether a person is developing or not. What resources he is studying. What meetups does he go to?

Often candidates answer something like "Well, I read Habr, sometimes I watch videos from conferences, but now there is actually no time, at work there is an eternal emergency, but at home - my child was born, you understand, not before self-development."

So that 's bullshit . If you have ears, and they are able to listen, then there is plenty of time for development.

Ears

In addition to sight, you still have ears , and their resource is much freer. Trust me, I know what I'm saying, at work I am a team lead with an always burning ass, and at home I have three children, one of whom is disabled. However, almost every day I have time to expand my horizons with podcasts .

Yes, programming is difficult to learn without code in front of your eyes, but still useful is still to the fig:
