By analogy with robotic vacuum cleaners, developers create smart gardeners. These robots are assistants in caring for the territory of the site near the country house. They are "sharpened" for specific narrow-profile tasks: watering plants, weeding beds, mowing a lawn. Ideally, a whole staff of robotic devices would be required to complete the complex of works on the site.
However, Whirly Max has created a versatile robot that combines several roles. The robot was named Yardroid. In his arsenal: autonomous performance of various works from mowing the lawn and watering the beds to harvesting fallen leaves. Outwardly, the robot resembles a mini-tank on a tracked chassis.
In front of the robot is a turret with a water cannon, camera and LED flashlight. The lantern is mounted in a stabilized suspension. The combination of suspension and swing tower allows water to be sprayed in any direction.
Among other things, the turret contains nozzles for removing weeds and pests at an angle of 45 degrees. At the rear are the fluid reservoirs, pumps and motors.
Yardroid can turn on the spot, overcome vertical obstacles 15 cm high and slopes at 45 degrees.

What exactly does it do? Thanks to AI and computer vision, Yardroid independently orients itself in space without wires or tags. Interestingly, he does not move in a chaotic manner, but carefully plans the route. Calculations allow you to minimize the time spent on mowing and create intricate patterns on the grass. The robot is controlled through the application, where you can adjust the height of the lawn to be cut.
Irrigates plants
How does this happen? The robot will help water the green spaces. With Yardroid, you can get away with awkward drip lines. The robot can spray water vertically upwards and almost vertically downwards. And it is convenient that thanks to the function of adjustable pressure, the robot is able to water any desired target: distant or distant.
No operator required to refuel with water
Why? The device is automatically filled with water, it can open and close the tank lid. Using an automatic auxiliary valve, it fills the water tanks by itself. This solution eliminates the need for operator assistance.
Destroys weeds
How exactly? The robot has a 1 liter tank that is filled with a special tool. With the help of the camera and AI, the mini-tank independently recognizes weeds. By carefully selecting only these plants, the device sparingly uses the weed killer.
Pest control
How does it work? The robot detects and classifies pests in the form of insects, birds and animals. Insect protection is achieved by targeted atomization of the appropriate agent from the tank. And he can scare off large mammals and birds with a powerful LED flashlight or deliberately water them.
Blowing the leaves off the tracks
The camera and lighting help the robot detect debris on the droshky, sidewalk, grass. The turret has a built-in fan that blows leaves off the surfaces, keeping them clean.
Protects the territory
And the last thing. The robot monitors the environment. When it detects intruders, it records what is happening on the camera and saves the material in the device or in the cloud. A speaker is installed inside the Yardroid. In the event of an emergency, it turns on and warns that recording is in progress. This can convince attackers to leave. If necessary, the robot can spray them with a water gun, thereby driving them away. Also, the robot is protected from theft: it sends the current location via GPS.
