Pure circuitry

1 minute to read. Writing time: 14 hours.

Programmers are constantly breaking spears about the design of the code, and are we worse?

Digital circuits are mostly boring and uninteresting, so we will design analog ones.

Lamp devices always buzzed juicier than silicon ones, so let's try to add warmth and lamp-like to modern circuits.

Unfortunately, programmers write beautiful, convenient and free integrated development environments only for themselves, so they will have to draw with pens in the most modern Material Design style using the best practices of S. McConnell, but there will be no dark theme yet.

The Code is just a set of guidelines, not hard laws

So the goals:

  • Have fun ... well ... usefully;
  • Return the warmth of the good old tube days to the circuits;
  • Make it readable;
  • Add mementos.

The basic rule is common sense.

Multilevel diagrams are inconvenient to read, you have to jump between sheets with different levels, therefore a flat diagram with the selection of blocks and a description of their function.

The usual direction: entrance to the left, exit to the right, but if, according to the logic of the circuit, they should be the other way around, then it will be so.

The circuits as a whole get warm, so there is a desire to do everything in warm colors, but then it will look more like an old tattered red rag and rather annoy than warm.

If you make everything bright and colorful, you can put it on display and probably sell at a higher price, but it will be impossible to use it. Therefore, we will seek a compromise.

Now, everything is flat in the trend, therefore, without volumetric, imitating the appearance of real components of symbols.

We want to be lamp-like, so fewer corners. Schematic editors are still not Photoshop, so in moderation.

Analog circuits often have two supplies, and modern circuits usually have a minus from the bottom and a plus from the top, so we will use an association. It's hot in the south, it is a red and negative food scheme. It is cold in the north, it is blue and positive circuit power. The ground is underfoot and it is usually brown, and the grass is green, so for single-power circuits it is a choice.

Conclusion

Probably everyone realized that there was no smell of design and best practices, and all this was done just for the sake of fooling around a little?

But the circuits have now become somehow warmer, more lamp-like. And the world has become a little brighter and kinder.
